Form Exploration
To differentiate AVer’s product identity, I conducted a thorough competitive analysis and found that most market offerings are heavily geometric and lack a distinct brand identity. Consequently, with the CAM550, I was committed to creating an exceptionally unique design language that helps the AVer brand stand out in the marketplace.



Sketches
In order to acheive a design that can pop out from the PTZ-Camera warzone, I started my sketch with Asymmetry-Arm design, hoping that the design could not only catch everyones’ eyes but also become a strong identity for AVer brand.


Designed for both sides
A primary use case for a PTZ camera is ceiling installation, where the device is mounted upside down. Therefore, a key design objective for the CAM550 Pro was ensuring it maintains a clean, balanced aesthetic and functions flawlessly in both standard and inverted orientations
